Community Thanksgiving meal

Our “Thanksgiving Meal Together” is set for the Saturday before Thanksgiving (November 21st for this calendar year) and targets folks who normally would not have a Thanksgiving dinner and  individuals who need transportation. MUMC’s “Thanksgiving Meal Together” is NOT open to the general public, as there are other Millersburg churches who sponsor a community Thanksgiving dinner. Mark and Janice Shroyer have spearheaded the “Thanksgiving Meal Together” for years. As a mail carrier in Millersburg, Mark  targets needy folks and hand delivers invitations from our church office. Lelia Russell, our church secretary, designs and mails invitations to local nursing homes and to various targeted individuals not on Mark’s mail route. Any congregation member may invite any person whom he/she feels is in need of fellowship and a Thanksgiving dinner. Additionally, any new folks to our church are invited to attend. So, don’t forget to extend an oral invitation to them from you on any givin Sunday. This year’s entertainment is the East Holmes Chamber Choir under the direction of Mr. John Harris, Director. Prayerfully consider how you may participate. We need donations of food items, cooks, servers, a set-up crew on Friday before the event (11-21-15), a clean-up crew after the meal, drivers, greeters, financial support (Money is always welcome, if you are unable to assist physically.), etc. Sign-up sheets will appear on one of the kiosks in the foyer during the month of November.
